How cancellations and refunds work.
The 24-hour cancel window
You can cancel any order within 24 hours of placing it — as long as the printer hasn’t already started production. Open the order page and tap Cancel order. We refund the full amount to the card you paid with.
Most orders sit in the printer’s queue for a few hours before production starts, so you almost always have the full 24 hours. If the printer has already started production, the cancel button is hidden and we’ll let you know we can’t pull it back. Reach out anyway — we’ll explore options.
Refund timing
Refunds are issued the moment you cancel and arrive at your bank within 5–10 business days. You’ll see “Refund pending” on the order page until your bank confirms; we don’t hold onto the money in the meantime.
If your refund hits a snag on Stripe’s side, you’ll get an email and we’ll resolve it manually — usually within one business day.
If the book arrives wrong
We don’t take returns on physical books — once you have a copy, it’s yours. But if the book arrives damaged, misprinted, or with a generation defect that slipped past us, send us a photo through the contact form within 14 days of delivery and we’ll reprint at no cost.
What we won’t refund
- Orders that you placed and then forgot about — we still printed and shipped the book you ordered.
- Personalization choices you made and approved before checkout (wrong name, typo, photo angle) — we’ll happily run a discounted reprint, but the original copy is yours.
- Carrier-side losses past the carrier’s declared transit window — we’ll file a claim and reprint, but we’ll do it together rather than just issuing a refund.
